Cruiserweight Championship Rematch Set For 205 Live
Kalisto will look to regain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on 205 Live tomorrow night.
After losing the WWE Cruiserweight Title to Enzo Amore on Sunday's WWE TLC show, former champion Kalisto invoked his contractually obligated rematch clause for Tuesday night's 205 Live. Kalisto made the announcement on Monday Night Raw ahead of a 10-man tag team match that saw himself and Enzo lead their respective teams.
Kalisto defeated Enzo Amore to capture the championship just two weeks ago, but was unable to retain the title in his first defense. Enzo used a thumb to the eye, followed by his finishing move to gain the pinfall victory. The rubber match will serve as the third matchup in under two weeks for the competitors.
Thus far, no babyface has held the WWE Cruiserweight Championship for any longer than two weeks since Neville won the title in early 2017. The top of the card on 205 Live doesn't resemble anything as compared to where it was this summer. Longtime champion Neville walked out of the company weeks ago, and both Kalisto and Enzo amore are fairly new additions to the brand.
