Jimmy Jacobs Says He’s Not Bitter Over WWE Firing
Jimmy Jacobs made an error in judgment when he decided to take a picture with non-WWE employees trying to invade a WWE event. That error cost him his job on the WWE creative team.
Instead of lashing out at his ex-employee for firing him over something that looked so small, Jacobs is taking his release in stride.
The 33-year-old joined WWE in March 2015, leaving behind an in-ring career that included a highly successful ROH run as the leader of The Age of The Fall.
Jacobs showed up at ROH Global Wars: Chicago last weekend, taking another selfie with the Bullet Club. Nick Jackson said, “We’re sorry we got you fired, Jimmy” after the photo was taken.
Jacobs made a surprise appearance at Saturday night’s Wrestle Circus event, confronting former NXT star Sami Callihan. That was the first of many upcoming appearances for the former five-time ROH tag team champion. He has already booked a handful of return dates to the ring, including a Nov. 11 trip to CZW and a Nov. 12 gig with Beyond Wrestling.
He has not wrestled since March 27, 2015, when he lost a No DQ match to BJ Whitmer at ROH Super Card of Honor IX.
