It would appear that UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor’s foray into boxing may not be done after his pro boxing debut at The Money Fight.
Paulie Malignaggi, who had a falling out with McGregor prior to his fight with Floyd Mayweather, is claiming his team has contacted UFC President Dana White about boxing the MMA star.
The retired Malignaggi made his claim through Twitter:
It happens if he wants it. I have spoken to my team, like Mayweather I am with Al Haymon. I know Haymon has reached out to Dana White. https://t.co/oHSKMi1PqE

Malignaggi and McGregor had their infamous fallout after McGregor’s team posted a video showing the Irishman apparently dropping the retired fighter during a sparring session.
Since that moment, the rivalry between Malignaggi and McGregor has grown with each passing day.
If the fight were to come together down the line, it would be the first time Malignaggi stepped into the ring since a loss to Sam Eggington in March of this year.
Neither White or McGregor have commented on the claim made by Malignaggi.
