UFC 216 Prelims & Bellator 184 Ratings Are In

Both the UFC and Bellator MMA ran events this past weekend, the ratings are in for both events and they are rather unspectacular.

Bellator 184 took place this past Friday Night, being headlined by a bantamweight title fight that saw Darrion Caldwell become the champion by defeating Eduardo Dantas.

This event aired on Spike TV and it drew a rating of 437,000 viewers, but it was going head to head with NCAA Football games and the MLB Playoffs.

Then the UFC 216 Preliminary Card aired live on FX this past Saturday Night, with Cody Stamann and Tom Duquesnoy in the featured spot, drew a total of 653,000 viewers. The featured fight between Stamann and Duquesnoy drew the highest rating of the four fight preliminary card, drawing 756,000 viewers for the three round affair.

The UFC 216 preliminary card went up against a bunch of college football games that aired on a plethora of networks.

FX was also home to the pre-fight show that drew a total of 324,000 viewers, while the post-fight show that aired on Fox Sports 1 drew 221,000 viewers. The live ceremonial weigh-ins aired the day before on Fox Sports 1, drawing a total of 171,000 viewers.

Bellator 185 is the next event from that promotion to air on Spike TV and it does so on Friday, October 20 and UFC Fight Night Gdansk is the next UFC event and that airs exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
