The Shield Reunites On Monday Night Raw, Return Match Announced For WWE TLC

It's been well over three years, and the legendary faction of The Shield has reunited.

After their 2014 split when Seth Rollins attacked both Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose with a chair, the trio have feuded off and on, with Dean Ambrose often serving as a partner of both along the way. The trio were seen together at last year's Tribute to the Troops show as well.

Common enemies ended up bringing the three together. In recent weeks The Miztourage and The Bar have attacked Reigns, Ambrose and Rollins. On Monday's Raw, The Shield fought back.

You can see how it unfolded in an excerpt of our Fightful.com live coverage below.

The Miz says that a reunion for The Shield won’t happen because they don’t want to fight him & The Bar, The Miz says he and The Bar have put an end to Roman Reigns. The Miz then awards the final Mizzie to himself for taking out Reigns, The Miz dedicates the award to his unborn child. Roman Reigns makes his way down to the ring and he has a microphone in hand, Reigns demands that The Miz shut up and he warns them that they should all leave the ring. The Miz says that a Shield reunion is nothing but a false rumor, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins eventually come out to join Reigns.

The Shield surround the ring and they eventually brawl with The Bar and Curtis Axel as The Miz leaves the ring, Reigns crushes Sheamus with a superman punch. Ambrose drops Cesaro with a clothesline and Axel gets taken out as well, The Shield then trap Miz in the ring before Ambrose catches him with a Dirty Deeds. The Shield then hit The Miz with the triple power bomb, The Shield finish things by pounding fists over The Miz.

Backstage after the altercation, WWE Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced that The Shield would take on The Miz, Braun Strowman, Cesaro and Sheamus in a TLC match at the WWE TLC PPV on October 22.

Indianapolis was the location in which the Shield first debuted and split up, as well as where they reformed Monday Night. Other major groups like D-Generation X and the New World Order reformed within just a couple of years of breaking up.
