New Champions Crowned At NJPW King Of Pro Wrestling
Monday's New Japan Pro Wrestling King of Pro Wrestling show saw a major title change, as Will Ospreay became IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion during the show.
Will Ospreay defeated KUSHIDA at the event, endind his four month reign. This is Ospreay's first run with the championship, but has held titles in Ring of Honor, Progress, WCPW, and Rev Pro in the past, in addition to his 2016 Best of the Super Juniors win.

Ospreay goes to the top rope and Kushida nails him with a handspring kick, Ospreay then traps Kushida in the corner before landing a super kick. Ospreay gets Kushida on the top rope and he eventually catches him with a top rope ace crusher followed by an inverted 450 splash for a near fall, Ospreay then nails a downed Kushida with a spinning kick. Ospreay goes for the Os Cutter and Kushida counters with a Hoverboard Lock, Kushida then hits Ospreay with a stunner after a series of reversals. Kushida then kicks Ospreay in the arm, Ospreay drops Kushida and he lands the Os Cutter for the three count.
Winner: Will Ospreay, your new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion
After the match, Hiromu Takahashi came to the ring to challenge Ospreay. However, before the challenge could be made, Bullet Club member Marty Scurll cut Takahashi off and broke his fingers. Scurll then made the challenge himself, causing Takahashi's to be foiled for the second straight time.
Also on the show, the new duo of Sho Tanaka and Yohei Komatsu won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight tag team titles. Accompanied by Rocky Romero and given the "Roppongi 3K" name, the two knocked off Funky Future (Ryusuke Taguchi & Ricochet) to win the championships.
