Triple H Talks Jinder Mahal’s Push, Future Indian Talent

WWE is making an attempt to let their presence be known in India, and Triple H is speaking out about some of the company's decisions that go into that.

Jinder Mahal has been a (somewhat) dominant WWE Champion since winning the title in May. Working on his fifth month with the title, he was relegated to losing for years before his immediate push. When speaking to The National last week, Triple H explained the push.

"Jinder Mahal has done an amazing job in recreating himself. Jinder was in WWE for the first time and wasn't as successful as he would have wanted. But we went back and re-energised himself, dug deeper (within) himself and worked extremely hard in his second chance and is now making the most of it. People can criticise him, but he has earned my respect," Triple H said.

Mahal, an Canadian-Indian talent is just the beginning, per Triple H. WWE is looking to increase their global talents, particularly in India.

"So we are doing some work and, by the end of the year, we will have 11 Indian talents … under training to be the next generation WWE superstar — and it is the most we ever had. And you will see it increase even further over the next few years," he said.
