Jenel Lausa Faces Eric Shelton At UFC Fight Night Sydney
A flyweight division bout may be the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night Sydney card as Jenel Lausa is in action against Eric Shelton.
It was Lausa who announced the fight through Instagram:
Lausa (11-3-0) has won just one of two fights under the UFC banner, with that lone victory coming over Zhikui Yao at UFC Fight Night 101. Lausa is a former Pacific Xtreme Combat Flyweight Champion, defeating Crisanto Pitpitunge at PXC 51 to win the gold. Lausa has seen his last three fights go to a decision and it has been over two years since the last time he got a finish in a fight.
Shelton (10-4-0) is currently winless in UFC competition, dropping bouts to the duo of Alexandre Pantoja and Jarred Brooks. Shelton also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 24, making it to the semi-finals of the reality show before losing to Tim Elliott. Shelton is also a former Caged Aggression Flyweight Champion, which a belt he won in his professional MMA debut.
UFC Fight Night Sydney takes place on Saturday, November 18 from the Qudus Bank Arena in Sydney, Australis with Mark Hunt and Marcin Tybura headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
