Eduardo Dantas Believes He’s Close To Being The Best Bantamweight Ever

Bellator MMA Bantamweight Champion Eduardo Dantas is preparing to defend the gold against Darrion Caldwell in the main event of Bellator 184.

Not only does Dantas feel that he’s the best bantamweight in Bellator MMA, but he feels he’s close to being the best bantamweight in all of MMA.

“I’m nearing my goal – to be the best bantamweight in history,” Dantas told MMA Junkie. “I’ll chop down whoever is standing in front of me. I only lost once in Bellator, and I got payback. So I’m not really 10-1. Since I returned the favor, I feel undefeated.”

Dantas is only one of four fighters to hold the Bellator MMA Bantamweight Title, with the others being Joe Warren, Zach Makovsky and Marcos Galvao.

While on his quest to become the best bantamweight ever, the champion says he will fight all comers to prove his dominance.

“Whoever is on my way during my climb, I’ll beat them all,” he said. “I see myself as the best bantamweight in the world. I just need to beat all the top guys to prove it. I want for Bellator to hire them all, so everyone can see that I’m the best of the best.”

Bellator 184 takes place on Friday, October 6 from the Winstar World Casino & Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Eduardo Dantas and Darrion Caldwell headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Spike TV.
