Valentina Shevchenko’s Sister Returns To Action
Valentina Shevchenko is well known to MMA fans around the world, recently coming up short in a UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title fight to Amanda Nunes at UFC 215.
However, the title challenger has a sister named Antonina and she recently returned to competition for the first time in over a decade.
The Shevchenko sister won her return to action, which is what an excited Valentina shared with the world through Twitter:
And she did it!

Shevchenko’s return fight took place at Phoenix Fighting Championships 3 in London, England and she defeated Anissa Haddaoui by unanimous decision.
Valentina’s Twitter post states that Antonina has an MMA record of 6-0-0, but most websites list her record at 2-0-0 or 1-0-0. The only other fight that Antonina has fought according to Sherdog and Tapology was a unanimous decision win over Hyun Sung Kim in 2005.
There is no word yet on when Antonina is going to be competing again or if another 12 year gap will come in between those potential fights.
