Middleweight Clash Added To UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo
A middleweight division attraction is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo as Jack Marshman is in action against Antonio Carlos Jr.
Marshman (22-6-0) has won two of three fights under the UFC banner, with those two wins coming over the duo of Magnus Cedenblad and Ryan Janes. Marshman also a former Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion, defeating Ali Arish at Cage Warriors 76 to win the gold. Marshman has only suffered a single defeated in the last three years and that came to Thiago Santos at UFC Fight Night 105.
Carlos Jr (8-2-0-1NC) enters the fight riding a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Leonardo Guimaraes, Marvin Vettori and Eric Spicely. Carlos Jr was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter Brazil III, defeating Vitor Miranda in the reality show finals. Carlos Jr hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year, with his last loss coming to Daniel Kelly at UFC Fight Night 85.
UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo takes place on Saturday, October 28 from the Ibirapeuroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Lyoto Machida and Derek Brunson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
