Conor McGregor Says He Is Unsure Of What Is Next For Him

Conor McGregor could go either way when considering boxing or MMA.

In his first boxing match, Conor McGregor made the most money he has ever made in a fight. The bout between he and Floyd Mayweather was deemed a "money fight" and the two men competed for "The Money Belt." At the post-fight press conference, McGregor spoke about the money he made in boxing and the difference between boxing and mixed-martial-arts.

"The check is alright, the check is not bad. But look, I've already been raising the MMA check, so don't get it twisted. I'm still going to raise the MMA checks when I go back there," said McGregor. "I don't know what the fuck the difference is but it's different. It's very different, it's just a bit more cleaner or something. But I tell you what, I enjoyed it very much, it was an honor to come over here on the boxing side and showcase my skills," he continued.

In regards of where his next fight will take place, McGregor did not know but he did say he intends on continuing his fighting career.

"I enjoyed the fight. It was a great contest, a lot of stuff I'll take with me in my training. People ask me 'what's next?', I'm not quite sure what's next. I've got multiple titles in the UFC to think about. I can also continue in the boxing game. What's next for me is: continue to study and continue to learn. I'm a student of martial arts, of fighting as a whole. I've studied everyone in the game," said McGregor.

According to McGregor, he is a "free agent" and he claimed opportunities in boxing would materialize. In the immediate future, McGregor said he plans on celebrating a friend's wedding. He said he would be continuing his mixed-martial-arts training but he was unsure of what is next. But he assured the audience that "something will be next."

Fightful provided live coverage of the fight and post-fight press conference. There was also a podcast with Sean Ross Sapp, "Showdown Joe" Ferraro, and Carlos Toro after the fight.
