Dijak discusses his current character in WWE.

Dijak, formerly known as T-Bar in Retribution, returned to NXT in November 2022, and he has had a career resurgence on the brand. He consistently draws praise for his matches and his character work, and he continues to spark buzz.

Speaking on WWE Die Woche, Dijak was asked whether his current character was the most comfortable one he had in WWE so far.

“It’s definitely the most comfortable for me. I always try my best, especially in wrestling, to continuously reinvent and innovate and stuff like that. Because the turnaround time in wrestling is so fast. Once people get used to something and get comfortable with it, that’s when it can go a number of different directions. I’ve never felt comfortable enough in a state of where I was in terms of my career to say, oh, I can just kind of sit back and coast and let the character just kind of be itself. Even in this current incarnation, we started leaning more heavily into my criminal justice background, which is great.  I wanted that. I wanted to add another layer of depth to who I am and why people would tune in and watch me and what kind of storylines I can be integrated to. To Shawn Michaels’s credit, he was very receptive that, and it’s worked out beautifully. But again, we only started that a year and a half ago, and after maybe a year, I’ve already taken that and said, okay, I’m going to add more and more layers of who I am and peel back a little bit of that character. So I’m always trying to evolve and add more depth and add more layers because that’s kind of definitive to who everyone is as a human being,” Dijak said.

Dijak also emphasized that he thought having layered characters in wrestling was important.

Booker T recently said that Dijak could be a player on the main roster right now. Check out his comments here.
