Kevin Owens: CM Punk And I Are Not Each Other’s Type Of People, It’s Fine That Way
Kevin Owens is asked about CM Punk.
Kevin Owens and CM Punk have a long history that goes back to their time together on the independent scene with Owens famously telling the “t-shirt incident” story where Punk was critical of Owens wrestling in a t-shirt and Owens trying to joke about it.
Owens is also friends with The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson), who don’t have a good history with Punk from their time together in AEW.
Speaking to Gorilla Position, Owens was asked about his relationship with Punk.
“We have no relationship. We’re not each other’s type of people, I don’t think. There’s like a ten foot vicinity that if we enter in, we have to kind of, ‘Hey,’ ‘Hey.’ Otherwise, we just don’t, and that’s fine. It’s perfectly fine the way it is,” he said.
When it was noted to Owens that many people have said Punk has changed, Owens replied, “I don’t know that, and I don’t care, to be honest. He is who he is. I am who I am. It’s fine that way.”
That settles that.
Owens and Punk did interact on television when Punk first returned to the company at Survivor Series 2023.
