Jade Cargill On Finding Out She’d Be Competing At WrestleMania: I Was Happy, Drawn Back And Humbled

Jade Cargill comments on finding out she would be wrestling at WrestleMania.

Jade Cargill comments on being added to WrestleMania.

On last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Jade Cargill would make her blue brand debut as a signed talent. During the main event of the show, Cargill would make the save for Bianca Belair and Naomi. It would be announced shortly after that Belair, Cargill and Naomi would take on Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 40.

While speaking to Denise Salcedo at the WrestleMania Media Day on Friday, Jade was asked about how she felt finding out she would be competing at her first WrestleMania.

“I didn’t know I was going to be on the card at all. At that with Bianca Belair and Naomi, who gets that? In their first year, like, again, I feel like I’ve had four debuts at this point. My reaction was just… I don’t know, man. My husband and I, we just were in the back screaming, my gosh, my first WrestleMania that I’ve ever attended, I’m actually gonna be in and participating in. So I was just happy, drawn back, very humbled by it.”

Asked about what she’s excited about in her debut WrestleMania, Jade noted that she’s ready to feel the electricity of a WrestleMania crowd.

“The crowd, you know, because I react off the crowd. Like I’m really excited. Again, this is my first WrestleMania that I’ve ever been to. At that, I’m participating in. So I want to feel that electric. This is the biggest stage in wrestling. So I want to feel that electrifying feeling that everybody talks about when you’re in a WrestleMania match.”

Cargill made her in-ring debut for WWE back at the 2024 women’s Royal Rumble match, where she was one of the final participants eliminated from the match.

Naomi recently commented on how she is always fighting for more for wrestling women. You can read more about that here.
