Becky Lynch: The First Match Of A Show Is My Favorite, It Sets The Tone For The Night
Becky Lynch says opening a show is her favorite spot to be in.
Becky Lynch comments on wanting to open WrestleMania 40.
On night one of WrestleMania 40, Becky Lynch is currently scheduled to challenge for the WWE Women’s World Championship, where she will take on Rhea Ripley. Lynch has previously gone on record to say that she wants their match to open the show, and now she has explained further.
While speaking to Brad Gilmore in a recent interview, Becky was asked about her desire to kick off the show and she would explain her reasoning for wanting to.
“Yeah, I’ve never gotten to open WrestleMania. Well, I was on the kickoff show, but we don’t count that. That doesn’t count. I haven’t opened the main show. The first match is my favorite match, right? It sets the tone for the night. The crowd is hyped. They’re energetic. This is the first thing they’re going to see. They’ve just come in, they see the stage, and we set the stage. Unfortunately for everybody else, we’re going to steal the show. So it’s all downhill after that.”
Elsewhere in another interview, Lynch stated she is out for blood at WrestleMania 40. You can read more about that here.
