Bianca Belair: They Tried To Make Street Profits And Bobby Lashley Heels, But The Crowd Wouldn’t Boo Them

Bianca Belair and Montez Ford joke about failed heel turn.

When the Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) aligned with Bobby Lashley in the summer of 2023, the group feuded with the LWO, led by a beloved Rey Mysterio. The Street Profits have largely been babyfaces during their time together dating back to their initial pairing in 2016.

Bianca Belair has also been a babyface for majority of her career, in particular her main roster run.

Speaking on The Pivot with Ryan Clark, Belair and Ford were asked if they ever thought about being heels together.

Montez: So I’m a villain at heart. I’m a villain in real life. [Bianca] doesn’t believe it, but I truly believe that in a menace in real life. She doesn’t see it that way, but the only reason why I see it that way is because I’m very blunt and honest when it comes to a lot of situations.

Bianca: Yeah, but they just recently, he’s in a faction right now that he just joined. They tried to make them heel.

Montez: They did, they did.

Bianca: They went out there, and the crowd said [cheers]. He did all this bad stuff, and they were like [cheers]. They couldn’t get booed, so they were like never mind. You guys can’t be heels.

Ryan Clark asks if you’re supposed to be hated as a heel

Bianca: You’re supposed to be booed, you’re supposed to be hated. You do things to garner that type of reaction, and they were doing everything to try to get that reaction, and they wouldn’t boo them. [Laughs]

Bianca and Montez will both be in six-person tag team action at WrestleMania 40.

Belair will team with Jade Cargill & Naomi to take on Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Asuka, & Kairi Sane) while Ford will team with Dawkins & Lashley in a Philly Street Fight against Karrion Kross & AOP (Akam & Rezar).

Fightful will have coverage of both nights of WrestleMania 40 beginning on April 6.
