On the March 20 episode of AEW Rampage, the broadcast team confirmed that The Infantry (Carlie Bravo and Capt. Shawn Dean) will face FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) on the March 30 episode of AEW Collision. This will be a quarterfinal match in the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament. The Infantry previously defeated Buddy Matthews and Brody King in a Wild Card match on the March 16 episode of AEW Collision to advance to the next round of the tournament.
The March 20 episode of AEW Rampage featured another Wild Card match, as Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta defeated Powerhouse Hobbs and Kyle Fletcher to advance to the next round, where they will face Mike Bennett and Matt Taven. The finals of the tournament will be held at AEW Dynasty.
