Paul Walter Hauser Says Setting Table On Fire At REVOLVER Ready Or Not Was A Last Minute Thing

Paul Walter Hauser looks back on wrestling Matt Cardona.

Paul Walter Hauser picked up a victory over Matt Cardon at Wrestling REVOLVER Ready or Not on March 16th with a little help from Bully Ray. Bully had Hauser’s back against Cardona and Steph De Lander, joining the bout and putting Cardona through a flaming table that was set ablaze by Hauser.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Hauser commented on the flaming table spot.

“Sami [Sami Callihan] is an interesting guy as a booker because there are things he’ll tell me and things he won’t tell me, and then there are things he’ll just do on the fly. This was kind of a last minute thing for me. I didn’t full know we were going to go that far. To Bully Ray’s credit, a lot of it is his knowledge of having done it forever. You’re playing to the nosebleeds, you’re playing for everybody. I was trying to be very presentational as he kind of smartened me up. I was about to be done with the lighter fluid and he looked at me like, ‘keep going.’ ‘What, there is already a lot of lighter fluid. We’re going to burn the ring down and miss half the card.’ I just took notes from him. When I re-watched it I was like, ‘This is very photo-opable,'” he said.

Bully Ray said that if you’re going to do the spot, you have to do it right, and noted that he wasn’t a fan of how it was done on AEW Collision in the Atlanta Street Fight.

During the interview, Hauser agreed to team with Bully Ray for a tag team match against Cardona & De Lander.
