The Rock Responds To ‘Standards And Practices’ Having Issues With His Promos: I’d Rather Be Real

The Rock just wants to be real.

The Rock turned heel for the first time in 21 years on The Road to WrestleMania XL and along with a villainous Dwayne Johnson comes verbiage straight from the Attitude Era.

Throughout his three appearances on WWE SmackDown in March 2024, Rock has referenced crack cocaine, certain members of Cody Rhodes’ fanbase having to pay for sex, and one lucky fan during the March 15 episode of WWE SmackDown was told that she sounds like somebody The Rock could love, “drunk and horny.”

In a new post on Instagram, Rock referenced this line from the March 15 episode and proclaimed that networks, as well as “standards and practices” have taken issues with his language, but The Rock says he would rather be real and talk from the heart while trying to have fun, as opposed to any alternative.
