At AEW Dynamite: Big Business, Chris Jericho and HOOK defeated the Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona). The match marked the Gates of Agony’s first time competing on television since they unsuccessfully challenged for the AEW World Trios Championship on the January 24 episode of AEW Dynamite.
In a digital exclusive, Bishop Kaun commented on the Gates of Agony’s loss after he couraged Toa Liona, who was angrily screaming, to calm down.
“This place is like a cage. It’s doing everything in its power to break us, to contain us. These gates were made from the sweat and the blood of our ancestors and the enemies. Jericho, HOOK, tonight, you’ve opened the gates, and though they did not collect, they will remain open. [Looks at Liona] It’s time,” Kaun said.
