Carl Froch Added To Sky Sports Team For McGregor vs. Mayweather

It was recently announced that UFC veteran Dan Hardy would serve as an analyst during the Sky Sports broadcast of the Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather super fight.

There is a new addition to the commentary team is going to be Carl Froch, who will provide analysis alongside the UFC fighter.

Froch recently took part in a conference call about the fight, where he said that the super fight is going to be massive.

“McGregor has all of the Irish behind him, he’s just massive,” said Froch. “Then you’ve got Mayweather who has been out of the ring for two years. It’s the element of the unknown, what’s he going to be like? It’s two massive stars from different sports coming together in what could potentially be a disaster. It could be a mismatch for McGregor, it could be a disaster for Mayweather if the two years out of the ring have really softened him. We just don’t know how he’s going to react or respond when he starts letting shots go. I’m quite confident that Mayweather has still got it and got enough to beat McGregor. It’s a whole new discipline for him. Let’s be honest, he’s not a boxer. I think he’s really going to struggle. Regardless of what you think, the fight is massive.”

The legendary boxer held a plethora of titles during his career, including the WBC Super Middleweight Title, IBF Super Middleweight Title, WBA Super Middleweight Title and the Commonwealth Super Middleweight Title and a host of others.

Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
