At AEW Revolution, Sting ended his career as an in-ring wrestler with one last main event, as he and Darby Allin successfully defended the AEW World Tag Team Championship against the Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson). This marked the end of his run in AEW, and he went undefeated in the company.
Tony Khan took to Twitter/X to comment on Sting’s last match by saying he completed the greatest comeback in sports history. He noted that Sting went 30-0, as he won 29 matches in AEW and one match in NOAH. Khan also wrote that Sting had the best last match ever.
