Lance Archer comments on the switch from Meat Madness to an All-Star Scramble match.
Lance Archer, Wardlow, and Powerhouse Hobbs were set to compete in the Meat Madness match at AEW Revolution. However, Tony Khan announced that Meat Madness was put on ice due to injuries to other wrestlers. Instead, AEW announced that an All-Star Eight-Man Scramble would be on the card for AEW Revolution.
Speaking on Casual Conversations with The Classic, Lance Archer was asked about the switch from the Meat Madness to the All-Star Scramble bout.
“I think it was just a fun name. Some people liked it, some people didn’t, but that’s just how it is these days on the internet especially. They love to hate just to hate. I think it was gonna be ultimately a really fun match. You already had Will Hobbs, Wardlow, and myself. Obviously, the reason it changed because there was supposed to be some more big, meaty men involved in it that couldn’t be involved in it. So instead of trying to make it less meaty, we decided to push it off. But now we have the eight-man All-Star Scramble, which obviously the winner of that, me, is going to become the number one contender for the AEW World Heavyweight Title,” Archer said.
Tony Khan recently said he hoped to have Miro and Keith Lee compete in the Meat Madness match. Check out his comments here.
