Jack Moody: Ospreay vs Oku 3 Was One Of The Greatest Matches Of All Time, It’s Inspiring

Jack Moody reflects on training with the RevPro Academy and watching Ospreay vs Oku 3 live.

Jack Moody says watching Michael Oku vs Will Ospreay 3 was an inspirational experience.

At RevPro High Stakes last month, Will Ospreay would compete in his final match on the British independent scene, challenging Michael Oku for the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship. The match received incredible reviews across the wrestling world, with Oku eventually walking out the winner after making Ospreay submit to his Half Crab submission hold.

While speaking to Fightful’s Corey Brennan, Irish independent wrestler Jack Moody reflected on the bout and training with the RevPro academy.

“It was only about an hour away. So it was kind of a no-brainer. But, yeah, it was kind of spectacular to have seen. Because, like, Michael Oku was at the training school on the Wednesday prior to the match. Like, so chill, nonchalant. Then he goes on and has one of the greatest matches of all time. So it’s just kind of inspiring to see that that level of of wrestling been presented in such a cool venue as well. The Crystal Palace Sports Arena, so they’ve been very welcoming. I’ve also been training at Greg Burge’s school at the London school of Lucha Libre. So definitely trying to diversify the my exposure to different schools. And, you know, been down in ramsgate yesterday with jordan Breaks so yeah, these are all amazing outlets to have on my doorstep. And that’s one of the major benefits of being here in London is the number of schools, the number of promotions is much higher. And that means I can get more reps in than I probably would otherwise. That’s kind of the name of the game at the moment.”

Will Ospreay made his first AEW Dynamite appearance signed with the promotion on Wednesday night, going face to face with Konosuke Takeshita, who he will face off with in singles action at AEW Revolution.

Elsewhere in Moody’s interview with Fightful, he discussed the pros and cons of beginning wrestling training at 32 years old.
