Steve Maclin’s TNA Contract Is Up This May

A former World Champion could be a free agent soon.

Fightful Select has learned that former IMPACT World Champion Steve Maclin’s contract with TNA is currently set to expire in May. Maclin joined the company in 2020 after being released by WWE, and quickly established himself as a top star in the company.

Maclin spent the better part of seven years under the WWE umbrella, with much of that in NXT. He and Wesley Blake were called up to the main roster, only to be taken off TV when Jaxson Ryker got heat with the company and talent. Maclin and Blake eventually got released, while Ryker was kept with WWE, and eventually released himself.

Maclin hit a hot streak in the ring in 2023, putting on what many considered some of the best matches of the year in IMPACT.

We have not learned if the two sides have had talks about an extension.
