SHO Wins IWGP Junior Title At NJPW New Beginning In Sapporo
SHO captures gold.
SHO won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship at NJPW New Beginning in Sapporo, defeating El Desperado.
The finish saw House of Torture interfere and help SHO on the outside. The referee counted up to 20 and SHO got in the ring just before the count. Ren Narita, who was under the ring, grabbed Desperado and didn’t allow him in the ring.
SHO won by countout and the title changed hands.

This is the first reign as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion for SHO. El Desperado held the title for 50 days after winning it at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18. He made one successful title defense.
