Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill Light Heavyweight Title Fight Set For UFC 300 Main Event

The UFC 300 main event has been set.

Following Ilia Topuria’s shocking knockout victory over Alexander Volkanovski in the UFC 298 main event, UFC President, Dana White announced that Alex Pereira will defend the light heavyweight championship against former champion, Jamahal Hill in the UFC 300 main event.

Jamahal Hill vacated the 205-pound title after suffering an injury during a charity basketball game and Alex Pereira dispatched Jiri Prochazka to become the new champion. With the victory over Prochazka, Pereira became a two weight UFC world champion in just 11 professional MMA fights and just seven appearances inside of the UFC’s octagon.
