Nick Aldis Confirms Shotzi Is Injured, Changes Made To 2/16 WWE SmackDown Card
Nick Aldis confirms that Shotzi is injured and makes changes to the February 16 WWE SmackDown card.
Shoti was originally scheduled to wrestle Tiffany Stratton on the February 16 WWE Friday Night SmackDown for a spot in the women’s Elimination Chamber. However, as first reported by Fightful Select, Shotzi suffered a knee injury when taping a match with Lyra Valkyria for the February 20 episode of WWE NXT.
In a social media video released on February 14, WWE SmackDown GM Nick Aldis confirmed that Shotzi is now injured and that Alba Fyre is now in the running for the Elimination Chamber. However, Fyre is not replacing Shotzi directly. Instead, Zelina Vega, who was scheduled to wrestle Naomi, will be taking on Tiffany Stratton. Naomi will wrestle Fyre.
Aldis also previewed the return of Rock and Roman Reigns to SmackDown. He teased that he was “cooking” something for them.
