AEW Spanish Announcer Alvaro Riojas Talks Working Alongside Thunder Rosa

AEW Spanish announcer comments on working with Thunder Rosa. 

Thunder Rosa was sidelined from August 2022 to December 2023 with a back injury. During her time away from the ring, Rosa contributed elsewhere in AEW, notably joining the AEW Spanish commentary team. 

Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Joel Pearl on In The Weeds, AEW Spanish announcer Alvaro Riojas discussed his time working with Rosa. 

“When I found out she was going to be on Spanish commentary with me, I was over the moon. There was a point last year that she did ask me to step in the ring with her to try and see where she was at. She wasn’t feeling too good, she was still injured, and she needed a lot of work. She’s been grinding, day in and day out, from that day, all year long,” he said.

Rosa has looked more and more comfortable in the ring, working back-to-back singles matches on AEW television after starting off with a couple of tag team bouts. 

Rosa is coming off a victory over Red Velvet on the January 24 episode of AEW Dynamite.
