The Rock is playing the long game.
The Rock returned to WWE TV on Friday’s WWE SmackDown, confronting Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns as the show came to a close.
Rock was introduced by Cody Rhodes, who seemingly stepped aside so the Rock could face Reigns at WrestleMania 40 instead of him.
The Rock took to Instagram to post various reactions to his return with the caption, “This is gonna be so much fun. Long game.”
Not all fans have been pleased with Rock vs. Roman as the SmackDown video is the most disliked WWE video of all time and Rock has even been ratioed on social media.
“We Want Cody” has been trending on social media throughout the weekend and was the top trend at one point on Saturday.
