On the February 2nd edition of Friday Night SmackDown, The Rock would make an appearance to confront Roman Reigns as Cody Rhodes has stepped aside to allow The Rock to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
The moment has had wrestling fans talking all weekend since SmackDown ended, and even wrestlers within the industry have got in on the act. During GCW’s The Coldest Winter 2 on February 3rd, Matt Cardona and Nic Nemeth would square off in singles action. Prior to the match beginning, Cardona would take a microphone and let Nemeth know that he should let him Finish His Story and not be like The Rock.
“I’m the face of GCW, I can’t just let some part-timer come in here and steal my spot. You think you’re The Rock or something, bro? So why don’t you do yourself a favor and just lay down, let me get the one, two, three, so I can finish my story.”

Unfortunately for Cardona, Nemeth was not a fan of this idea and would go on to win the match in the end.
