Dana White Says Ronda Rousey Moving Onto Marriage & Kids
Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey hasn’t been seen much since getting demolished by Amanda Nunes at UFC 207.
According to UFC President Dana White, the female fighters days in the Octagon may be done so she can focus on marriage and kids.
“I think people realize she’s probably going to retire,” White told ESPN. “Now she’s going to move on to the next chapter of her life, get married and have kids, do that thing. It’s not sad, it’s the way she wanted it.”
Outside of the marriage and potential future kids, rumors have been surfacing that Rousey may start making appearances for the WWE soon.
White also admits that Rousey doesn’t like to lose and that is one of the reasons she may be exiting the sport.
“Ronda Rousey is super competitive and doesn’t like to lose. I know she’s been criticized for that by a lot of people, but that’s just who she is and the way she is. And the way she is, is what made everyone get behind her,” says White.
Rousey is only one of four women to hold the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title, with the others being Holly Holm, Miesha Tate and Amanda Nunes.
