GHC Heavyweight Champion Kenoh Apologizes To Kazuchika Okada For Not Creating Competition In Japan

Kenoh has apologized.

Kazuchika Okada is officially a free agent as his NJPW contract expired at the end of January. He will work a handful of February dates of NJPW, including a match against Hiroshi Tanahashi on February 11.

Speaking to Tokyo Sports, GHC Heavyweight Champion Kenoh apologized to Okada and fans for not building up Pro Wrestling NOAH strong enough to be a proven competitor.

“In that sense, I want to apologize to the wrestling world and to New Japan. NOAH was sloppy and didn’t compete. In other words, it’s my fault. NOAH’s wrestlers think first, ‘Let’s beat New Japan,’ not overseas. That’s the difference. I’m frustrated by that situation,” he said.

Pro Wrestling NOAH has worked with NJPW over the years, holding joint events and crossover matches.
