As announced on the January 23 episode of WWE NXT, Dragon Lee will challenge Oba Femi for the NXT North American Championship at NXT Vengeance Day. After Lee beat SCRYPTS on Tuesday, Femi accepted the challenge that the former champion initially made on the January 16 episode of NXT.
In an NXT Exclusive, Dragon Lee was asked how he plans to keep his momentum up and regain the title at NXT Vengeance Day.
“I can explain to you exactly how I’m prepared, [what] is my plan. But [it’s] just to get better every day. [Oba] is taller than me, bigger than me, heavier than me. I’m gonna show him who Dragon Lee is, where I come from, and at Vengeance Day, I’m gonna take my North American Championship back,” Dragon Lee said.
Femi dethroned Lee on the January 9 episode of NXT, as he cashed in the title shot he earned by winning the Men’s NXT Breakout Tournament.
