Here is your post-Monday Night Raw fight size update for January 22, 2024.

– Drew McIntyre faced Damian Priest. R-Truth came to ringside and wound up accidentally costing Priest the match.

– The New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston) attacked Imperium (Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser) to kick-start their match. They brawled to a double count-out, and they kept fighting after the bell. Woods and Kingston sent Imperium through some tables.

– Chad Gable took on Ivar. Gable delivered a valiant effort, but Valhalla distracted him, and Ivar capitalized as he hit a moonsault for the win. 

– WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins opened the show with an update on his future. He confirmed that he sustained a torn MCL and a partially torn meniscus. WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther interrupted and spoke his mind. Rollins made it clear that he would not miss WrestleMania. Gunther then told him he planned to win the Royal Rumble and face him at WrestleMania.

– Ivy Nile, accompanied by Maxxine Dupri, faced Valhalla. Nile picked up the hard-fought win.

– Cody Rhodes and CM Punk met face-to-face. In an electric exchange, they went back and forth, as both men vowed to go through the other in the Royal Rumble match.

Hulk Hogan commented on the Royal Rumble match and teased that he might have one more left in him.

Damage CTRL (Kairi Sane, Asuka, Bayley, and Dakota Kai) appeared on Raw

– Jey Uso greeted Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston and asked them about their feud with Imperium. Woods said they were the best tag team going. Kingston made it clear that they could get down when the time was right. Kingston then issued a challenge to WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther to a match next week.

– Nia Jax came to the ring and set her sights on Rhea Ripley. She highlighted how she squashed those who got in her way. Jax vowed to win the Royal Rumble and go to WrestleMania. Becky Lynch interupted and said they both would have a big target on their back in the Royal Rumble. She looked forward to seeing Jax lose. Bayley cut Lynch off. She said that she would be the one going to WrestleMania. They brawled, and Nia Jax stood tall.

– The Miz faced Dominik Mysterio. The Miz fended off JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio, who were at ringside. In the end, Balor helped Mysterio score the win. DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) saved The Miz from Judgment Day.

– Tensions rose between Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest backstage. Ripley revealed that Priest and Balor will defend their titles against DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) next week.

– R-Truth gave Damian Priest his “cut” of the new Judgment Day merchandise. 

– Rhea Ripley suggested that Becky Lynch should make other plans for WrestleMania.

– Bronson Reed targeted Jey Uso as he said that he intended to become a singles champion, so that meant their paths would cross soon. He challenged him to a match.

– Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae faced Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. Stark and Baszler scored the win. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter confronted them after the bout, and the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) attacked them.

– Jinder Mahal confronted Adam Pearce and wanted to know what his plans were for him.

DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) shared their thoughts ahead of their upcoming title match.

– On Raw Talk, Gunther sent a message to Kofi Kingston, and Jey Uso commented on his looming clash with Bronson Reed. Plus, Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler discussed their win.
