Kazuchika Okada Defeats Will Ospreay In Ospreay’s Final NJPW Singles Match At NJPW Battle In The Valley
Kauzchika Okada once again bests Will Ospreay.
Kazuchika Okada improved his record to 8-2 against Will Ospreay as “The Rainmaker” defeated “The Aerial Assassin” in the main event of NJPW Battle in the Valley.
The finish saw Okada put Ospreay away with the Rainmaker.
The two men traded reversals and counters throughout. In the match, Okada kicked out of the Stormbreaker, which he had previously fallen victim to. Ospreay kicked out of a Rainmaker earlier in the match.

After the bout, David, Alex Coughlin, Clark Conners, & Gabe Kidd attacked Okada and Ospreay. TJP, Jeff Cobb, and Eddie Kingston made the save.
Ospreay then on the mic and the crowd chanted “Thank you Ospreay.” He said, “Thank you guys, it’s been a real fun eight years.” Ospreay called Okada the best wrestler in the world and that he is thankful and blessed to face him in his final singles match in NJPW.
Ospreay is set to have his final NJPW match on February 11 when he teams with United Empire to face Bullet Club in a cage match. He will then join AEW full-time.
