Matt Riddle: I Would Love To Work With Goldberg. If It Was Going To Happen, It’d Probably Be AEW
Matt Riddle comments on potentially working with Goldberg.
Riddle has taken plenty of shots at Goldberg on social media and interviews throughout the years and things came to a head during a backstage confrontation at SummerSlam 2019. Since then, Riddle has kept up the jokes, but Riddle did have a positive interaction with Goldberg at Raw in January 2021. Riddle has even said the two found mutual respect and bonding on a plane to Saudi Arabia in 2021.
With Riddle and Goldberg both being free agents, one fan asked during a Signed By Superstars virtual signing if they might end up working together.
“I don’t want to give too much. I, personally, would love to work with William. I think William Goldberg would be a great match. I think I could get something out of him that people haven’t seen in years. I think it’d be great for business. I know it’d be good for me. At the end of the day, if he wants to do it, he’ll do it. If he needs to do it, he’ll do it. There would be a couple places we could do that. Maybe AEW, maybe TNA, maybe New Japan. If it was going to happen, it would probably be AEW,” he said.
Riddle previously stated that he didn’t want to rush back into doing TV matches. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
Riddle is set to compete at NJPW Battle in the Valley when he teams with a mystery partner to face Zack Sabre Jr. & Bad Dude Tito.
