Kota Ibushi Announces He Will Undergo Ankle Surgery
Kota Ibushi set for surgery.
On Friday night, Kota Ibushi announced that the inside of his left ankle is messed up and he will be getting surgery on his right ligament.
“Sorry for the late contact. I’m sure Mr. NOAH will give you more details, but I would like to inform you that the inside of my left ankle was quite a mess, so I decided to have surgery on the right ligament. I think there will be a release soon. I’m really, really sorry,” he wrote.

Kota competed against Naomichi Marufuji at NOAH The New Year and suffered an ankle injury in the bout. After the match was over, he could barely stand and was taken to the hospital.
Kota said he was scammed by “C5 Clinic” and that Pro Wrestling NOAH would release more information.
Fightful will update fans on Kota’s condition when more is known. We wish him the best in his recovery.
