Tony Khan: I Would Welcome QT Marshall Back In AEW, Any Wrestling Company Would Be Lucky To Have Him
Tony Khan talks about the departure of QT Marshall from AEW.
QT Marshall announced on November 27 that he had resigned from AEW. Marshall’s deal with the company was up on September 1, but Fightful Select reported that he signed a short-term extension that would take him to the end of 2023.
Marshall was integral both in front of and behind the camera in AEW and during the media scrum following AEW Worlds End, Tony Khan praised Marshall for his contributions to the promotion.
Khan would say that he would welcome Marshall back to the company, in any role, at any time, and that any company in the world would be lucky to have Marshall on their team.
“QT Marshall, his contract is up. Somebody I really respect. The door would always be open for QT to come back, in any capacity, wrestling or coaching. I know he wants to go out and apply his trade, and he’s somebody that has done a great job. When you see somebody like Julia Hart, her development, QT had such a huge hand in that, and a lot of great wrestlers here. I know he wants to go out and focus on his wrestling career, but he’s been a huge part in AEW, in addition to wrestling, as a coach. He’s been in great matches. I consider him a good friend. QT’s contract is up, but I would welcome QT back here anytime and I think any wrestling company in the world would be very lucky to have him. I will always wish him the best and hopefully see him, either here or any place down the road because anybody who has QT would be very fortunate,” he said.
Also during the scrum, Khan commented on the expected departure of Andrade El Idolo read more here.
