Welterweight Contest Headlining LFA 20
A welterweight division attraction is going to be headlining the Legacy Fighting Alliance 20 card as Chad Curry is in action against Nick Barnes.
Curry (9-1-0) is going to be entering the fight on the strength of a two fight winning streak, with those two wins coming over the duo of Frank Schuman and Kyle Kurtz. Curry is actually undefeated thus far under the LFA banner, having defeated the aforementioned Kyle Kurtz at LFA 12 in May of 2017. Curry has only suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter, which came to UFC veteran Lando Vanatta at Resurrection Fighting Alliance 32 in November of 2015.
Barnes (11-2-0) is returning to action for the first time in almost a full year, as his last bout was a loss to UFC veteran Brian Camozzi at Resurrection Fighting Alliance 43 in September 2016. Barnes also competed once in Bellator MMA, defeating James Terry by first round submission at Bellator 147. Barnes also competed five times in the Xplode Fight Series promotion, winning all five fights during his time there.
Legacy Fighting Alliance 20 takes place on Friday, August 25 from the Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, Minnesota with Chad Curry and Nick Barnes headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on AXS TV.
