WWE shared a clip on Instagram in which Grayson Waller taunted Forrest Griffin, who was sitting in the front row, at the WWE live event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 29. AJ Styles grabbed a microphone and said he would make the official tag. Styles tagged Griffin, who hopped the barricade and chased Waller and Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) up the ramp.
Griffin then high-fived Styles and Karl Anderson as he made his way back to his seat.
Griffin is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2013. Griffin currently serves as the UFC vice president of athlete development. He is local to the Las Vegas area.
Styles, a former WWE Champion, recently returned to WWE SmackDown and set his sights on Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
At WWE SmackDown: New Year’s Revolution, Styles will face Randy Orton and LA Knight. The winner of the match will earn a title shot against Roman Reigns. More information is available here.
