Emily Jaye Says Facing Renee Michelle Was One Of The Top Learning Experiences Of Her Rookie Year
Emily Jaye has high praise for Renee Michelle.
Jaye is one of the fastest rising stars in all of independent wrestling, as she’s recently competed in promotions like MCW, IWE, and WDWA.
Throughout her career, Jaye has faced off against other rising stars like Zayda Steel, JC Storm, and Vicious Vicki.
In May 2023, Emily Jaye got the opportunity to face a veteran in Renee Michelle at a TitleMatchNetwork event in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Jaye said that she learned from Michelle in that bout before noting that Michelle led her through the match.
“Renee Michelle, 110%. I did, but it was a very good learning experience. When we called the
match, she went, ‘Do you know how to do this? Have you ever done it?’ I was like, ‘No, just tell me what I need to do and we’re gonna make it work.’ I learned so much from her even though her kick hurt so bad.I am so glad the camera caught it, where I was like, ‘I cannot breathe.’ But she is definitely at the top of the list.”
