KUSHIDA: I Need To Win The TNA Title In 2024 To Further Advance My Career
KUSHIDA talks about his goals for 2024 now that he has signed with TNA Wrestling.
KUSHIDA recently announced that he was officially crossing the line as he signed with TNA Wrestling prior to their relaunch with TNA Hard To Kill. A new destination means new goals for the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion, and at the top of his list is the TNA Wrestling World Championship.
In a new interview on the Battleground Podcast, KUSHIDA explains why he believes he needs to win the TNA Championship to reach a new threshold in his wrestling career.
“I believe I need to win the TNA Title in 2024 to further advance my career. I want to become a World Champion, X-Division Champion, and break down the borders that exist in this world,” he said.
KUSHIDA is also a known tag team wrestler. A frequent partner of his, Alex Shelley is the current TNA/IMPACT Wrestling World Champion. KUSHIDA would reiterate that his main goal is singles gold at the moment. However, he says that should he ever want to win the TNA Tag Team Championships, he would like to do so with Kevin Knight.
“I have a tag partner, Kevin Knight [but] number one priority is X-Division Champion,” said KUSHIDA. “Now IMPACT Tag Team Champion is ABC. They are so talented. I think my idea is underrated in this business, so they are the best tag team [on a] global scale. So I want to challenge with my boy, Kevin Knight.”
KUSHIDA previously stated that his recent signing with TNA Wrestling would not prohibit him from working in NJPW. Read more at this link.
