Here’s your Fight Size update following WWE NXT on December 12, 2023.

–  Andre Chase and Chase U kept trying to think about how to raise money for the university. Scripts showed up, and he said he had a proposition for Chase.

– Dragon Lee held an open challenge for the NXT North American Championship. Tyler Bate accepted the challenge. Lee retained the gold in a hard-fought match.

– Ava said the NXT Breakout Tournament participants wanted Lexis King to be in the tournament so they could beat him up after he attacked Trey Bearhill. She confirmed that King was replacing Bearhill in the tournament.

Myles Borne faced Oba Femi in the first round of the NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament. Femi emerged victorious.

– Keanu Carver made his debut as he faced Riley Osborne in a Men’s Breakout Tournament match. Osborne emerged victorious.

– Eddy Thorpe battled Dijak. They brawled before the bell. Once the match started, they kept going back and forth. The turnbuckle broke, and Djak hit Thorpe with it. Dijak then attacked Thorpe after the bell. 

– Nikkita Lyons and Lyra Valkyria faced Cora Jade and Blair Davenport. Tatum Paxley showed up and distracted Valkyria. Jade ultimately pinned Valkyria.

– Tatum Paxley entered the ring and creepily hugged Lyra Valkyria. 

– Carmelo Hayes got attacked backstage, but nobody saw who did it. 

– In the trainer’s room, Carmelo Hayes was told that he was cleared to compete. He had an idea as to who attacked him.

– Trick Williams discussed his win at NXT Deadline and looked forward to challenging Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship. Dragunov came out and said he was proud of Williams. Dragunov highlighted Williams’ rise and said it will come to an end at NXT New Year’s Evil. Williams fired back by vowing to win the gold. Carmelo Hayes came out and accused Dragunov of attacking him and Williams. Dragunov denied the accusation, and as tensions rose, Hayes accidentally hit Williams with the title.

– Cora Jade discussed her return to NXT and said everyone was talking about her after NXT Deadline. NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria interrupted and said that a lot had changed since Jade had been gone. Blair Davenport cut Valkyria off and vowed to win the gold at NXT New Year’s Evil. Nikkita Lyons joined the fray, and the four women brawled. Valkyria and Lyons stood tall. 

– Meta-Four (Noam Dar, Lash Legend, and Oro Mensah) faced Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, and Fallon Henley. Tiffany Stratton was shown watching backstage. Briggs tagged in, but the referee didn’t see it. Dar and Mensah capitalized and took control. Stratton came down and took the fight to Henley. They brawled to the back. Briggs ultimately scored the win. 

– Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne, and Damon Kemp approached Dragon Lee. Gulak expressed his interest in challenging for the title. He accepted the challenge but refused to name which one of them would face Lee. The title match was later confirmed.

– Joe Gacy’s odd behavior continued.

– Ilja Dragunov responded to Carmelo Hayes’ accusations.

– WWE confirmed the Iron Survivor Challenge winners’ title matches for NXT New Year’s Evil.

– Carmelo Hayes rhetorically asked why he would lie when he had nothing to lose or gain.

 

– In a WWE NXT Exclusive, Dijak made it clear that he was not done with Eddy Thorpe.

– In a WWE NXT Exclusive, Oba Femi commented on his win.

– Ava took a shot at Lexis King.

Lola Vice shared a picture with CM Punk.
