Athena: I Want To Try AEW TV Again, I’m Not Content With Beating Up Fragile Broads Left And Right

Athena wants to take another stab at AEW TV.

After debuting for the company at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in 2022, Athena proceeded to appear on episodes of Dynamite, Rampage, Dark, and Dark: Elevation on a regular basis. When Ring Of Honor began airing weekly episodes of television again in March 2023, Athena shifted her focus to that brand, as she was the ROH Women’s World Champion.

Athena still holds that belt, but some fans are expecting her to drop it to Billie Starkz at the Final Battle pay-per-view on Friday, December 15.

While speaking to the Under The Ring podcast for a new interview, Athena was asked about her future goals in wrestling. In response, Athena noted that she’d like to try to be on AEW TV again, as her first run wasn’t the best.

“I think the next step for me would be to take a crack at AEW TV again. My first time around was not great, and I lost to the all powerful Jade Cargill. I think now, with me being the forever ROH Women’s Champion, I want to be a triple crown champion by the end of 2024. I’m going after all of the belts, the TBS Championship, Julia Hart. the AEW Women’s Championship, Toni Storm. I’m not content with just beating up these fragile broads left and right. This is your warning, I am coming for you guys in 2024. It doesn’t matter what anyone says, you got an X on your back and it’s only a matter of time before we get there.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Athena said that she’s going to teach Starkz a lesson at Final Battle. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
