Joshua Bishop: Matt Cardona And Tom Lawlor Are Giving Me Great Advice About TV Wrestling

Joshua Bishop is a veteran independent wrestler who has competed for AIW, BLP, JCW, and more.

He entered the world of MLW at MLW Fightland when he joined Matt Cardona, Tom Lawlor, and Alex Hammerstone in the World Titan Federation.

Though Bishop has made the towns as an independent wrestler, MLW is one of the first times he’s been part of a company that runs weekly television.

Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Stephen Jensen on The Spotlight, Bishop was asked about the difference in working for a TV wrestling company.

“To be honest, I’m not really sure yet. After the next set of tapings, I’ll have a better understanding because I haven’t wrestled a singles match yet. Tom and Hammerstone knew what to do in our six-man and they were like, ‘do this.’ ‘Alright, cool. This is your style. You’re used to this.’ The other match was a big multi-man match, so I knew at the end to do this and this camera-wise. I don’t have a full grasp of the difference yet,” he said. “That’s where Tom and [Cardona] and others will be like, ‘I know you’re used to doing this,’ or after they’ll give me feedback and say, ‘You did this wrong. Fix this,’ and that’s what I need.

Bishop teamed with Hammerstone & Lawlor to defeat Bomaye Fight Club (J Boujii, Mr. Thomas & O’Shay Edwards) on the November 30 episode of MLW Fusion.

He is set to take on Matthew Justice at the MLW Fusion tapings on December 7.
