Gunther: Seth Rollins Would Be A Better Matchup, But I’m More Similar To Roman Reigns

With the Royal Rumble only months away, many fans have began to discuss potential winners of both the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches.

Some fans are pushing for Gunther to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match, as many think he deserves to be highlighted in a world championship match at WrestleMania.

While speaking to Under The Ring for a new interview, Gunther said that he would matchup better with Seth Rollins before noting that he’s more similar to Roman Reigns. ‘The Ring General’ also stated that he would be happy to take on both Reigns and Rollins at any time.

“Obviously, there is room to grow, and when the time comes and I lose the title because nothing lasts forever, that’s obviously the next logical step. There is a lot of room to grow into. Those two guys are very different. Style-wise, a match with Seth would match better with me. Being in the ring with Roman are completely new challenges. I’m more similar to Roman than I am to Seth as a wrestler, but they would both be fantastic matchups and a challenge I would be happy to take on.”
