On November 22, Adam Pearce took to social media and shared a picture of the letter he received when he decided not to accept WCW’s contract offer in 1999. The letter stated that, as a result of this choice, WCW was withdrawing the contract offer.
In the post, Pearce wrote that he was thankful to have been afforded wonderful opportunities, and he is thankful for the courage to always bet on himself. He stated that the journey is yours, you chart the course, and he couraged to block out the noise and be thankful.

After he opted not to join WCW, Adam Pearce went on to have a successful career, as he thrived in Ring of Honor and the National Wrestling Alliance, among other companies. He won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship five times, and he was inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame in 2015.
Pearce returned to WWE as a coach and trainer in 2013 before he landed a full-time role in 2015. He is now the General Manager of WWE Raw.
