Bobby Fish has had a lengthy career, as he has had prominent runs in ROH, WWE, and AEW. Fish, 47, has often been the subject of jokes, as fans make fun of his age. Many of these jokes center around Fish being present for historic events, and some of them note that he even defeated Abraham Lincoln.
During an interview with WrestlingNewsCo, Steve Fall joked that Bobby Fish defeated Abraham Lincoln and noted that he hoped Fish knew about that meme.
“Oh, no, the jokes I’m very aware of. I did not know there was a meme. But the jokes, yeah, I’m very aware of. Civil War, put over Abe Lincoln… I don’t remember. I truly appreciate the creative ones, the ones that you can tell there was a little effort put in there. Those are the ones I like,” Fish said.
Later in the interview, Fish was sharing his thoughts on Sting’s upcoming retirement when he quipped that he was one of the legend’s oldest fans, as he previously clashed with Lincoln. Fish also joked that he will be turning 115 years old.
“I was probably one of the oldest Sting fans because I had put over Abe, like we established at the beginning of the show [laughs]. I’ll be 115 years old at the end of the month, and I’m holding up,” Fish said.
